To ensure availability, it is highly recommended to book your newborn session while you are still pregnant (ideally in your second or third trimester). The best time for newborn photography is within the first 10–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and naturally curl into those precious poses. Booking early secures your spot in my calendar around your due date.

Depending on your style, there are three main options for newborn photoshoot locations in Prague:

• In-Home (My Recommendation): Your home offers the best natural lighting and personal connection. This is the most baby-friendly option as it eliminates the stress of traveling to a studio with a newborn.
• Outdoor Sessions: For a “nature” look, locations like Průhonický Park, Stromovka, or the orchards at Petřín are top-rated for seasonal newborn themes (best for babies 1 month+ in warmer months).
• Daylight Studios: If your apartment is dark, we can book a professional daylight studio in Prague (like in Holešovice or Karlín) which offers beautiful natural light and a clean, minimalist aesthetic.

If your home lacks natural light, I recommend renting a bright daylight studio in Prague or using a well-lit space of a friend or family member. Another great alternative is a photoshoot at a bright rural cottage or any interior where you feel relaxed and inspired.

As a professional maternity photographer in Prague, I guide you through the entire process. You don’t need to be a model! My style is based on spontaneous moments and authenticity. Instead of stiff posing, we focus on emotions and your connection with your partner. I will help you relax so the final images feel effortless and natural.

My style focuses on lifestyle and minimalist newborn photography. I do not use artificial props like baskets or elaborate costumes. Instead, I use:

• Meaningful personal items: Your family heirlooms, blankets, or first toys.
• Natural surroundings: Your bed, the nursery, and your arms.

This ensures your photos remain timeless and authentic, focusing on the baby’s features rather than distracting props.

When choosing your outfit, prioritize comfort and a “timeless” look. Because Prague weather can be unpredictable, layering is your best friend:

• Colors & Patterns: Opt for soft pastel colors, earthy tones, or classic jeans and white shirts. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or distracting text.
• Style: Flowy maxi dresses are beautiful for outdoor sessions, while a simple blouse and jeans work great for a lifestyle look.
• The “Tone on Tone” Rule: Coordinate with your partner and children by choosing complementary shades rather than everyone wearing identical outfits (like matching white T-shirts).
• For the Cold: In autumn or winter, cozy knit sweaters, elegant coats, and scarves add a wonderful texture to your photos while keeping you warm.
• For Baby: Prepare a simple, solid-colored newborn onesie and a soft blanket.

A professional session usually takes between 2 and 4 hours. This allows plenty of time for diaper changes, soothing, and feeding. I never rush; the pace is entirely dictated by the baby’s needs to ensure a calm, baby-safe environment.

You will receive your edited, high-resolution photos in JPEG format via a secure download link within 3-4 weeks. During peak seasons (summer or Christmas), delivery might take slightly longer due to the complexity of my signature post-production process.

I do not provide RAW files. I believe that professional retouching and my specific editing style provide the final artistic value. Think of unedited photos as a painter’s sketch – they are part of the process, but not the final masterpiece you hired me for.

If we realize we aren’t a good fit during our initial consultation, I offer a full refund. Once a date is firmly booked, the payment serves as a commitment. In case of illness, I prioritize finding a new date. However, complete cancellations by the client result in the payment being retained as a cancellation fee.
