Booking your baby photoshoot early, especially for babies older than the newborn stage, is key to getting the date and time that works best for you. I suggest reaching out at least 3-4 weeks ahead. This gives us ample time to plan, especially if you have special moments in mind, like their first smiles, sitting up, crawling, pulling to stand, or first steps.

The consultation takes place via a 30-minute Google Meet video call. It’ll be focused on capturing your baby’s milestones and personality. We’ll find the best time for the shoot based on when your little one is most rested and happy. I’ll also help you pick out outfits that allow for easy movement while looking adorable, ensuring we capture those sweet, authentic smiles in a completely relaxed setting.

When choosing your outfit, prioritize comfort and a “timeless” look. Because Prague weather can be unpredictable, layering is your best friend:

• Colors & Patterns: Opt for soft pastel colors, earthy tones, or classic jeans and white shirts. Avoid large logos, busy patterns, or distracting text.
• Style: Flowy maxi dresses are beautiful for outdoor sessions, while a simple blouse and jeans work great for a lifestyle look.
• The “Tone on Tone” Rule: Coordinate with your partner and children by choosing complementary shades rather than everyone wearing identical outfits (like matching white T-shirts).
• For the Cold: In autumn or winter, cozy knit sweaters, elegant coats, and scarves add a wonderful texture to your photos while keeping you warm.
• For Baby: Prepare a simple, solid-colored newborn onesie and a soft blanket.

How about capturing your little one in their natural home setting? No staged props, just the genuine warmth of your family, with all the essentials close by. After a short conversation, we’ll start capturing those loving, candid moments, possibly with siblings or grandparents. Depending on your baby’s age and your preferences, we could also explore a nearby park for some outdoor fun.

If your home lacks natural light, I recommend renting a bright daylight studio in Prague or using a well-lit space of a friend or family member. Another great alternative is a photoshoot at a bright rural cottage or any interior where you feel relaxed and inspired.

Don’t worry about the weather – I’ve got you covered! I monitor the forecast closely, and if the skies aren’t playing along, we’ll touch base 24 hours before to reschedule. I’m all about that perfect light, so I’m happy to wait a few days for the sun. If you’d prefer to stick to the original plan, we can always move the shoot to your home for a cozy, indoor lifestyle session. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, we can embrace the rain with boots and umbrellas – it makes for some of the most fun, authentic photos, and kids absolutely love it!

As a professional maternity photographer in Prague, I guide you through the entire process. You don’t need to be a model! My style is based on spontaneous moments and authenticity. Instead of stiff posing, we focus on emotions and your connection with your partner. I will help you relax so the final images feel effortless and natural.

While I believe in the power of simplicity for maternity, newborn, or family photography and generally prefer to capture the essence of the moment without the distraction of props, I understand some families might have ideas. My goal is to create timeless images that showcase the beauty of your unique story, the love you share, and I find that a minimalist approach often achieves this best.

For baby photoshoots beyond the newborn stage, the duration is very individual, and I don’t have a fixed time. Sometimes 2 hours are enough, while other times even 4 hours aren’t sufficient. It all depends on the baby’s mood and the number of photos you’ve chosen. You also need to consider that during the session, we’ll adjust diaper changes, feeding, outfit changes, and nap times. Of course, breaks for parents are welcome too! And I will be there to capture the precious emotions and moments that you’ll cherish as your little one grows.

You will receive your edited, high-resolution photos in JPEG format via a secure download link within 3-4 weeks. During peak seasons (summer or Christmas), delivery might take slightly longer due to the complexity of my signature post-production process.

I do not provide RAW files. I believe that professional retouching and my specific editing style provide the final artistic value. Think of unedited photos as a painter’s sketch – they are part of the process, but not the final masterpiece you hired me for.
